Sexuality

I was just briefly scanning some information on Kinsey, reading what a shit storm he kicked up with his research on human sexuality. Specifically, female sexuality.

I don’t get it. Why are people in this (and other, I’m sure) country so hung up on sex?

I use religion as the main reason, but I’m sure its not the only one. Morality as defined by the Church (take your pick of religions, they all have something to say about sex). It goes without saying that we, as humans, need some sort of guidance in many areas because we’re basically still hardwired to survive. Survival means taking what we think we need. Maslov’s Theory of Hierarchy of Needs tells us this, and humans, no matter how civilized they think they are, will still do ‘socially unacceptable’ things if they feel a strong enough need.

Perhaps because I enjoy sex, I’m sensitized to the restrictions that society places on it. I mean really, who’s business is it what two, or more, adults decide to do out of the public eye? Why should clubs, private clubs, be subjected to harassment by officials who decide what’s going on there isn’t ‘moral’? Keep in mind, we’re talking adults here.

What is so morally wrong with sex?

It’s a basic need, and it has about as much variety as there are people to experience it.

However our government is the one to decide what’s moral or not. That is absolute bullshit. If I want to chain up my sex slave, whip her, then fuck her ass, who is the government to decide for her that she shouldn’t be treated like that? What if she *wants* to be treated like that? That’s what consensual means!

If two seventeen year old boys want to fuck their brains out with each other, why is it okay for the government to tell them they can’t?

I know that there must be rules. But in a society where people are trained from birth to let the government make their choices for them, it’s getting a little scary for those of us for whom the training didn’t take.

You speak of consenting adults. But who is to say that adult is 16, or 18, or 21? Isn’t the decision of when to be allowed to whip your sex slave also a moral one? Just a question, I don’t have an answer, but I admit that at 12 you may not have all the information to decide knowingly. But in that case, who decides and how do you decide when is the right age?

some might question whether or not there’s something “wrong” with her for wanting to be treated like that… is there some sort of psychological issue that she needs to resolve? is it what she really wants, or just what she was brainwashed to want? after all, just because person may like to look at sexual pictures of underage people, even if the pictures were taken “consentually” (note: underage children are generally considered unable to consent legally to this sort of thing, but…), that person is still considered to have a psychological disorder, a paraphilia
of course, once upon a time, homosexuality was considered a sexual disorder, but that opinion has been revised, at least in the psychiatry texts
