New Avatar Chapter is UP!

Okay, it’s been a looong time since I’ve posted anything here. I’m sorry about that. As you probably know, last year was about the worst year of my life — which is saying something. Things this year are somewhat better, but still very far from stellar. That’s one reason why it’s taking me so very long to write anything.

I want to thank those of you that stuck with me, sending encouraging emails and asking how I’ve been. I really appreciate that. And that has been the vast majority of you all. It makes me feel really good to know that my work is good enough that people are actually interested in how I’m doing, not just how the writing is going.

I will point out, however, that sending me an email with a subject line of ‘More’, with the message saying “More, please respond” is… not my favorite thing to see. Nor is an angry email about how I’ve failed you. Sorry, but my life, while better, is still difficult, and I don’t live to write you stories. You guys know who you are.

Ah life. In case you’re interested, my job still sucks (although is in somewhat less danger of being lost), my company has completely trashed my skills and killed my career, and while my health isn’t too bad, my wife’s health is not so great. ’nuff said about that.

In addition to the latest Avatar chapter, I’m about to release a new book into the wild called ‘Enslaving Cousin Carla’. It’s more of a pure BDSM sex book without much plot, but ya know it’s me writing, so there’s gotta be at least SOME plot. Not much in this one though. I’ll be interested to see how it sells, and I’ll tweet and leave a post here when it’s up. I just need to do a once over edit of the thing, but I’m stalling to get some work done on other stuff. Like Avatar.

I’ve been moving my work over to a new editing program called Liquid Story Binder XE. When I first tried this thing out (free 30 day trial), I found it to be a bit difficult to use. Several months ago, I gave it another, more serious try, and I just love, Love, LOVE this thing now. It does tons of stuff to make writing, plotting and organizing complex stories MUCH easier. Did I mention that I love it?

Of course, getting all of the Avatar information into the damned thing is QUITE the time sink. However, since Avatar’s going to be with me long after Book 2 of Establishment is finished (can’t wait to get into the Conflict stories, and also a new side story that blends into the main plot of Establishment and…), it’s well worth my time to put all the bios, plot notes, general notes, FAQs, time lines and other information into LSB.

So that’s where I’m at. Hoping to finish editing the new book (15 chapters!) and get that out, working on Avatar and…

Hey, did I mention I got a great idea for another SG-69 story? Dunno if I’ll do it up, and if I do there won’t be any sex in it. Still, I think it’ll be fun to write. AFTER I’ve gotten more Avatar chapters done.
