Last SG-69 chapters!

For this mission, anyway. I’ve just posted the end of the story, and I hope folks like it. I did get a few more responses from folks who were reading it (and this blog), and that was encouraging. My thanks to those who wrote.

It’s a good story. I’m not qualified to say how ‘faithful’ it is to StarGate, but who cares?
Keep on writing, and I’ll keep on reading…

Yep, just caught up and it seemed pretty good (though I too can’t attest to it’s SG-ness). To be completely picky (hopefully constructive), I felt there to be a little inconsistency in the Doctors abilities at the end compared to the start. And I felt there was a ‘continuity error’ in the scene where they are forced to celebrate getting the captain back, with the captain talking – (sorry at work so can’t get&post the text), but perhaps it was just me misreading or misunderstanding…
Anyway, I would be very interested to see where this goes, though probably still prefer Avatar.
Sorry to hear your year has been so rubbish and hope that we continue to get to read more of your stories – some of the best the net has.

Hmmm. It’s possible that what I was trying to do with her, didn’t work. But a lot of what you see Alexa doing verses what is in the official record is going to come up in another story — provided I ever *do* another story. Yes, there is a disconnect there, but I had hoped it was presented in such a way as to get the readers attention rather than just confuse them.
Avatar is continuing, but I wish I had more time to spend on it 😦

Glad one is done, when’s the next installment
Just read the last two chapters and I loved it. As with the others, I can’t attest to how closely if follows Stargate, but it doesn’t really matter. I can’t wait to read the next installment of this story. I do prefer Avatar, but it’s nice to wander every once in a while. Sorry to hear about your 2006.

Glad you liked the story. Don’t know that I’ll do another one — certainly not for a while, since I’m working on something that I hope will get published in the more traditional way. And it’s even erotica, so you folks might like it. I’ll announce more when I have more to announce!
Thanks for the note, I appreciate it.

    Good idea, good implementation
Now that was a pleasant surprise – a well-rounded story in an unexpected setting. I must admit that when I read the title I was a bit sceptical. I’ve seen most of the series, and liked some of it, but I could not imagine anything very erotic going on there. Well, glad to be proven wrong! Nice work, and hopefully not the last part of it.
BTW regarding SG-1ness: It seemed pretty authentic to me, but I doubt that it would matter if it were less so. However, there is one slight hickup: The new, powerful system lord that is never ever mentioned in any of the original episodes (he’s not, right? or did I miss something?), even after the fall of all the other system lords. But than again, the storyline is not finished yet, right? 🙂
As for the characters, I think they are all very ‘sound’ and well-described, with the exception of the good doctor (as someone already mentioned above). Perhaps a little more background might be useful here.
Anyway, keep up the good work, and enjoy a bright new 2007!

Yeah, the Coyote. See, I decided that if I were going to do anything in that Universe, that I wanted my own bad guys. Or good guys. I’m not as familiar with all the goings on on the show as I should be if I were going to write real fan-fic. And, I don’t want to have to keep too close track of when the bad guys die, or when the good guys die and that sort of thing. I’m sure that, if/when I do another SG-69, I’ll eventually have some of the known system lords play a part.
As for the doctor — yes, I’m sure that more background about her would be good. But she tended to look at me every time I started to give stuff away and shush me. So I gotta wait until she’s good and ready for the team to know about her past — which, as should be obvious by now — isn’t quite what everyone thinks.

    SG 69
Just found the story on Assm. Read all the chapters in order.
I liked it a lot. Very entertainig. I think it “echoes” the SG world quite accurately. I’d be glad to read more about SG 69.
I am especially looking forward to development of the Alexia character. Sure seems like she has telekinetic (sp?) powers.
Who was that little coyo…er, dog anyway?

      Re: SG 69
I can say, without giving anything away, that Alexa has no tele-anything powers. But you’re just gonna have to wait until her background is revealed to discover how she did some of the things that she did in the story. They do seem a little at odds with what she studied in college though, don’t they?

Continuity or which way to the Continuum of choice!
Liked the story rated it all 10’s. Having read SF fiction for over 40 years and had the various parallel universe dicussions it clarifies this fanfic story. You do not have to match the sg1 story line exactly. Follow this logic does it seem reasonable for the system lords in ALL of their arrogance to even mention this Coyote Lord if He consistantly defeats and humiliates them. It is more than consistant that they would pretend that He did not exist.
    Thanks for a Great story
    Looking for the next one

Re: Continuity or which way to the Continuum of choice!
Glad you enjoyed it. If I continue on in that universe, the Coyote will be explained a bit more. Quite a bit more, as he’s the team’s nemesis. Sort of. There are reasons why the System Lords don’t want to talk about him, beyond their incredible arrogance.

    SG 69
Very well written story which I thoroughly enjoyed. Even without explicit sex the first chapter comes off very well – maybe you should be a scriptwriter for stargate or other dramas.

      Re: SG 69
Thanks. No script writing is in my future though. At least, I don’t think it is. This is only the second fan-fic I ever did (the first one a really nasty story called Hunger done in the Buffy universe), and I did it so that I could spend more time on the SciFi aspects of the story. That didn’t work out so well, but maybe next time…
